I read the whole manga a few years after i watched the anime. I was disappointed at the adrupt ending to the anime, but yes, the KareKano manga is my favourite out of everything else. It beats Hana yori Dango, Hana Kimi, Fruits Basket and other shojo / romance mangas - its deeper, its more realistic, there's a story about all the main characters, and the part towards the ending about Arima's father was absolutely shocking for me, a very pleasant surprise!
