25 was a wonderful episode, remember it quite well. I guess it can have the appearance of a filler episode, but in reality it's one of the most important episodes in the first half of the show, looks like you caught on to it's real meaning, something quite a few people miss (ie just calling it filler).

23 was also pretty outstanding, obviously reflecting 9/11, but giving a good view on both the victims heartbreak, but also the racial backlash that effects those not involved. I havent seen many shows deal with terrorism in such a way (barring Planetes maybe), least of all a mecha series, but the show as a whole has a pretty obvious political slant to it, though it never manifests itself as overtly as this episode does again.
