The new AUKN blog: self promotion time

After much discussion, organising and whatnot the new addition to the Anime UK News site is up and running: the Nakama Britannica writers’ blog (not to be confused with our AUKN blog aggregator portal). The posting schedule and so on is outlined on the About page but basically it’s going to be updated every Sunday with a focus aimed towards UK-related news and views. Bateszi set up the Wordpress side and I installed the temporary K2 theme and banner image but the whole project is intended to be a democratic group effort with each member of the writing team taking our turn in contributing.

It’s still a work-in-progress of course but the general idea is that we’ll be publishing a weekly offering of anime- and Japanese popular culture-related editorials and articles that don’t fall into the DVD review format we currently work to on the main site. We’d all really appreciate any feedback, contributions and other cool interactiveness while getting the finishing touches into place; as always, there’s an RSS feed to subscribe to, comments sections and all the other features that Wordpress-driven anime blogs have to offer. It’s been fun bringing this project to fruition and I’m looking forward to even more fun in being a part of another group of enthusiastic bloggers. Here’s to a new addition to the anime blogosphere!
