Nice “Twin Peaks” reference there! I just couldn’t keep going with this series, it’s just too boring, and they refuse to explain anything. I’ll keep an eye on your blog, though, just in case it gets good by the end.

@Brikhaus: cheers for spotting it! (: TBH, if you don’t like the series at this point it’s fair to say it’s not your thing after all. I wasn’t entirely convinced either at first but after the first five or six episodes I began to get into it. This is one of those shows that I can imagine will make a lot more sense after a re-watch I think.

i don’t think the brewer lady has anything to do with Makoto’s mom, it might just be the art style. Seriously though gh just gets better and better.

One thing that fascinates me about this series is its use of regular sounds. Even in “normal” scenes, where nothing weird is happening, footsteps, doorknobs, car doors, all those noises sound distorted or too loud … out of place. It give the whole series an extra eeriness.
