the reason it seemed the story ran short is because it did. The production company ran out of funds before the project was completed and they had to "wrap it up" quick. Origionally Priss was suppose to be killed off dramaticly and the rocker chick (who's name escapes me right now) was suppose to replace her. There were suppose to be 12 episodes and only 8 got made, still, they did a fantastic job with what they had left.

I felt like the ending was perfect, and I wouldn`t change it for anything. Like when I was watching the Anime from Studio Bones Wolf`s rain I felt like the ending was really boring and flat. IT even ending really short and fast for me.

Moments like that make me upset at least eureka seven was something that made a good end stay a good ending. I would have been really bummed if It was an off topic and unimportant finish to a powerful series.

If you want fighting, watch old dragonball z, gt or something like that. I believe this had some good creativity and a very good storyline. It could have went deeper into the past, so I could understand more about Hikari and Akari. It focused more on what they became instead what they were prior to this transformation. All in all I thought it was very well done with a little of everything and not too much of one thing. Kind of like X.

I'm a bit confused here. i'm "playing" through the main Clannad visual novel now, but i have only met Nagisa twice (april 29th?) and apparently going out with Ryou (i'm a nice person and couldn't say no) So...what now? is the game going to end with a ryou arc? How do you get to the other arcs of the game?

does EVERY Japanese school play the Westminster Chimes at the end of each lesson?

It never occurred to me to ask, because my elementary school in Phoenix did, and I just assumed it was more or less universal.

I just finished watching this straight through after coming across it on Netflix. I think the last episode that was handled the way it was originally envisioned was the episode where Taro talks to Makoto's mother and she makes the freaky face. After that everything starts turning upbeat (his mother lives, Taro's mother gets happy and stable for no apparent reason, Masayuki's parents work it out, and so on). The loose ends: what did the abandoned hospital have to do with everything? Why is the mountain a spiritual hot-spot? Why is the dark giant continually acting out his death? Who was the woman that Taro saw in the hospital at the beginning of the show in the hallway? If Miyako isn't in the hidden realm, then why do Taro and Hiruta see her in the forest and school hallway? Why did Makoto's mother leave him with his psycho grandmother? What happened to the missing scenes at the intro (kids running from a giant worm spirit in the abandoned town, Miyako or Mizuki wading through water in a storm, Taro outside the Sake brewery in the snow)?

I was waiting to hear something like an original experiment with artificial life using patients (or better yet child patients) in the basement of the old hospital. The Ogami sect could have been the originators of this when Makato's grandmother was young, and she was at it again when Taro and his sister were kidnapped. Anyway, I think it could have been much better and was originally intended to be. I smell studio management interference...

I find a good way to make yourself baw-proof is to turn down the volume when a character starts tearing up and playing some non-sad music. While watching Ryō and Kyō weeping on another episode, I was listening to Slayer’s Reign in Blood album. It was fun to watch.

I often thought the old wanderer looked a lot like a tengu, and when the various priests from different creeds project at the end to try and welcome the new biooid spirits and get them to cooperate with the natural ones, it crossed my mind that those individuals might actually be tengu or the traditional mountain spirit gods. The only contradiction to this I can think of is that the old man had never projected prior to that, and I'm not sure what need tengu or gods would have to project to begin with. You would assume they could transcend any plain of existence simply due to their divine nature etc. What do you guys think?

I was attracted to Kaiba precisely because of the art style. I'm not a big anime fan these days, but this really got to me. Agree with most of the comments regarding the ending seeming a bit rushed but I'll take it as it is and enjoyed every moment of it.

The only problem I had was with the fan-subs missing large chunks of the final episode, although it wasn't too hard to work out what was going on.

Thank you so much for the website link and the reviews! Right now Playstation Home on the Japanese server is showing the series in the theater. I just watched the first ep, was very interested with what little I could understand (I've only taken some Japanese at this point, so much of the verbal communication was a little lost on me) and have been trying to find out more.

English version of the site is very good to know, I can watch it again and know more of what is going on. I love the event though, they are showing an episode on the hour so everyone is seeing it at the same time. Most of the time streams start once you enter the room and it loads. Each week I think they're showing a new one? So far it's alternating between Sammy and Akiko.

Thank you so much for the website link and the reviews! Right now Playstation Home on the Japanese server is showing the series in the theater. I just watched the first ep, was very interested with what little I could understand (I’ve only taken some Japanese at this point, so much of the verbal communication was a little lost on me) and have been trying to find out more.

English version of the site is very good to know, I can watch it again and know more of what is going on. I love the event though, they are showing an episode on the hour so everyone is seeing it at the same time. Most of the time streams start once you enter the room and it loads. Each week I think they’re showing a new one? So far it’s alternating between Sammy and Akiko.

Here's what I thought of this series. It had a lot of fighting potential. I mean the character transformation was really cool and some of the fighting was really captivating and not just some poor animated action just because the fighting only happened twice in the entire series.

But then it lost me. It got too sentimental and started lingering with feelings and too many explanations. Then the action started abruptly, then it ended abruptly. Everything was resolved too easily.

This is my late night opinion after just finishing the series.
Thank you.

Was looking for dates as I'm compiling a "timeline" of sorts and came across this blog by accident.
Clannad takes place in the present. (When it was released).
Specifically, the scene where Kotomi gets the suitcase is Tuesday, May 13, 2003.
The crash was "more than 10 years ago."
So the suitcase was being passed around in the 90's and early 00's.
